8 They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9But the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, ‘Where are you?’ 10He said, ‘I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.’ 11He said, ‘Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?’ 12The man said, ‘The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate.’ 13Then the Lord God said to the woman, ‘What is this that you have done?’ The woman said, ‘The serpent tricked me, and I ate.’ 14The Lord God said to the serpent,
‘Because you have done this,
cursed are you among all animals
and among all wild creatures;
upon your belly you shall go,
and dust you shall eat
all the days of your life.
15 I will put enmity between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will strike your head,
and you will strike his heel.’
16To the woman he said,
‘I will greatly increase your pangs in childbearing;
in pain you shall bring forth children,
yet your desire shall be for your husband,
and he shall rule over you.’
17And to the man he said,
‘Because you have listened to the voice of your wife,
and have eaten of the tree
about which I commanded you,
“You shall not eat of it”,
cursed is the ground because of you;
in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life;
18 thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you;
and you shall eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your face
you shall eat bread
until you return to the ground,
for out of it you were taken;
you are dust,
and to dust you shall return.’
20 The man named his wife Eve, because she was the mother of all who live. 21And the Lord God made garments of skins for the man and for his wife, and clothed them.

passing blame....nothing new....Adam blamed Eve, Eve blamed the serpant. Of course, the blame was true...but it also was only half of the truth. Adam listened to Eve, and Eve listened to the serpant. Even our rationalizations tend to be true....but only half of the truth.
Ah, so it was God that named Adam, but it was Adam that named Eve.
We also see here the original order of God's plan for the family & the head of the household. We see throughout the bible where man says, "hey woman", "woman come here", "woman do this". Using the term woman in this sense gives us a clear cut definition of the order of the family. I wonder how many women today can honestly say that they put their husbands before themselves? That when they marry, they really know the implications of not following God's law that in marriage, the 2 really become one & the highest honor to God a woman can give is to follow this command from God.
V. 15 stikes me with intrigue. God proclaims that there will always be a battle between his children & the serpents children, those saved & those not saved. Thus the ongoing battle betewen good & evil on earth has begun and will reign until the final day. It sure has really gotten bad hasn't it? Makes you wonder how many that claim to be Christians are really not Chritians at all. Especially those in places of power such as the pulpit. Those that have control over teaching the truth of the gospel.
The first sin from Satan only cast him from heaven and also God. Gods spirit and mind left him. Eves sin cursed the whole universe. Major difference. Adam is Gods son and Eve is Gods daughter. Satan before his sin was Gods servant. Also Adam and Eve are one flesh, major difference in the creation of those two than the animals.
