To be read Tuesday, Sept. 21

15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to till it and keep it. 16And the Lord God commanded the man, ‘You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; 17but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die.’
18 Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.’ 19So out of the ground the Lord God formed every animal of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20The man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the air, and to every animal of the field; but for the man there was not found a helper as his partner. 21So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then he took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. 22And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. 23Then the man said,
‘This at last is bone of my bones
 and flesh of my flesh;
this one shall be called Woman,
 for out of Man this one was taken.’
24Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh. 25And the man and his wife were both naked, and were not ashamed.

This passage has got to be IMHO, the biggest blow to the theory of evolution, which is just that 'a sick & twisted theory' and also speaks against homosexuality as a God ordained union as God did not create a BMF for man. God's designs of mates & companionship are of HIS perfect design. This is also the 1st instance where God has proclaimed out loud that something was not good. "Man should not be alone".

So, what does God do? God parades all the animals, 2 by 2 in front of man. Man names them and not 1 of them he finds suitable as a companion. They all already have a mate of their own in their own likeness. Man finds not one that is suitable to fellowship with, to have a relationship with. Now if there had been evolution, surely he would have seen some similarity in the apes as the crazy theorists would have us believe.

Not until after God makes woman from the side of man, then bringing her to him, does man instantly see that this IS his mate and immediately cries out 'bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh'. God has just created marriage & family. God's "SANCTIFIED" perfect union for the continuance of his kingdom through procreation. ONE MAN, ONE WOMAN. How glorious it is!

1 Cor 11: 7-9

7 ...he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.

8 For man did not come from woman, but woman from man;

9 neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.

Psalm 127:3

Behold, children are a gift of the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Matt 19: 4-5 Jesus speaking to the Pharasees:

4 And He answered and said, "Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE,

5 and said, 'FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH'?

moral of this story..in God's eyes...plumbing matters!

When God said that it was not good for man to be alone He was commenting on mans incompleteness, not on anything of His creation. The Bible does not contradict itself on Gods good creation.

"The man gave names to all the cattle".....reminds me of a dairy farmer friend of mine from my college days. He'd invite me out to his farm to experience farm life, and as he would gather his milking herd into the barn, he'd call them by name. Now, to me, they didn't look very distinguishable...but, he could tell them apart. Don't know how this story fits into the Genesis story, but it came to mind when I read, "The man gave names to all the cattle."

Referring to the "cattle". A quick check back into the good ole original Webster's Dictionary of 1828, you will find reference to the bible in the definition of the word cattle which merely meant ALL domesticated livestock, thus he wasn't giving the animals names as you say, he was giving names to the different species of domesticated animals.

Oh, how wise & spiritually educated in the bible those founding fathers of ours were, who built the foundation of this great nation, the USA, on "Firm Reliance on the protection of Divine Providence" before it was signed by 56 men, 29 of whom where preachers.

You can read that last quote in the closing of the Declaration of Independence. Webster's original dictionary was the family household source for clarifying obscure words in the bible which was the main school/text book of the day until the material, superficial progressive movement took over.
